Ukraine, located in Eastern Europe, is a member of the World Trade Organization. The country is dependant on Russia when it comes to energy and acquires, particularly, oil and natural gas. The country is rich in natural resources and, particularly, has rich deposits of minerals, for example coal, natural gas, hydroelectricity and nuclear fuel raw materials. Chemical industry is also an important economic sector which produces coke, mineral fertilizers and sulfuric acid. Ukraine's chief productions include: grain, sugar, meat and milk products. Ukraine manufactures goods like metallurgical equipment, diesel locomotives, tractors and automobiles. |
